Catching up with the world!

With all the economic bombs dropping on our disparate societies at the moment,
one could be forgiven for wondering why we have elected politicians, after the
mess they have presided over since the present crisis started about two m0nths
ago. The really sad thing is that while they and their friends wring their hands
and talk about 'bail-out' and 'saving the economy', we are all faced with a pretty
dire picture which will last for at least a year.

That's the optimist in me, of course, hoping that the pain will last no more than
twelve months, but the realists will rush in to say we are being stupid if we think
like that. Pain is inevitable, so now we're having to face the reality that it will be
intense pain, and some people will not survive! In the overall picture of things,
that's nature at work, but to suffer painb just because a few uncaring people
were playing games at our expense, is not really going to create happiness in
this topsy turvy world of ours.
